7/19/07 - Mason house fire, 172 N. Jefferson

At 3:47 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2007, the Mason Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire at 172 N. Jefferson St. Engine 809 and brand new Tanker 811, which was delivered to the department only hours before, were first to respond. Light smoke was showing on arrival and firefighters began an interior attack as LDH was stretched to a nearby hydrant for a water supply. Mutual aid was requested for manpower from the Delhi Township Fire Department which responded with an engine. The Lansing-Mason Area Ambulance Service responded with an ambulance for rehab & stand by. This fire was minor in nature and quickly brought under control.
