4/28/06 - Leslie brush fire, 2956 Kinneville Rd

At 2:35 PM on Friday, April 28, 2006, the Leslie Fire Department was sent to a brush fire at 2956 Kinneville. On arrival it was discovered this fire was rapidly working into an area that had a high fuel load of tall grass, and had already extended to a carport at the residence. Firefighters began extinguishing the fire around the structure while mutual aid was requested from the Onondaga and Mason fire departments. A combined force of two grass trucks, two engines and a tanker handled this fire.
