10/26/05 - Delhi Twp extrication, Hagadorn Rd & Sandhill Rd

At 12:55 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, exactly 48 hours down to the same dispatch time following another extensive extrication, the Delhi Township Fire Department and the Lansing-Mason Ambulance Service were sent to another serious automobile collision, this one at the intersection of Hagadorn Rd & Sandhill Rd in Alaiedon Township. Three vehicles were involved, all with extensive damage and lined up next to each other facing the same direction. One patient in the middle car required extrication. First arriving Sheriff's officers requested the response of the Ingham County Sheriff Rescue Squad to assist Delhi firefighters. Two sets of hydraulic rescue tools were put into use to remove enough of the vehicle from around the victim in order to be quickly transported by EMS. One person was killed as a result of this collision.
