4/20/04 - Onondaga extrication training exercise, Stimson Rd & Crane Rd
On Tuesday evening, April 20, 2004, the Onondaga Township Fire Department conducted a training scenario at the corner of Stimson & Crane Rds. The Leslie Area Ambulance Service, Mason Fire Department, Ingham County Sheriff Rescue Squad and Midwest Medflight also participated in the drill. The simulation was a mock two vehicle accident with one patient thrown from a vehicle that is on fire and patients trapped in the second vehicle. Patient assessment and treatment began immediately until sufficient manpower allowed for extinguishment of the car fire. The vehicle with entrapment was stabilized and two patients were extricated and packaged for simulated transport. Midwest Medflight arrived and conducted a brief training session on the scene.
