11/4/04 - Mason Haz Mat training scenario, Jewett Airport

On Thursday morning, November 4, 2004, simultaneous WMD training scenarios were in progress in Ingham County. While the first was in progress at the Lansing Fire Department Training Academy, this second one took place at Jewett Airport in Mason. This scenario involved a tactical police situation followed by a simulated release of radioactive materials in an airport hanger. The Ingham County Haz Mat team and Metro Lansing Haz Mat team worked together to mitigate the second part of this scenario.
