3/5/22 - Onondaga grass fire, 4061 Byrum Rd

The Onondaga Fire Department responded to a grass fire at 4061 Byrum Rd on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at around 3:30 PM. First arriving command requested mutual aid from the Leslie Fire Department when it appeared that the fire was extending toward a barn. Due to soft ground conditions, vehicles could not get close access to the fire. Once the grass fire was contained, a large rubbish pile that had caught fire needed to be overhauled to fully extinguish.
