2/2/23 - Delhi Twp townhouse fire, 4474-6 Doncaster

The Delhi Township Fire Department was dispatched to a townhouse fire at 4474-6 Doncaster at about 8 AM on Thursday, February 2, 2023. Automatic aid was also sent from the Lansing Fire Department. First arriving command advised there was a working fire on the first floor of a two story townhouse. The occupant of the home was outside on arrival, but had injuries from jumping from the 2nd floor. Additional mutual aid was requested for an engine from the Mason Fire Department and two more ambulances. Initial arriving crews made an aggressive interior attack and got the fire knocked down quickly. Mutual aid companies checked the adjoining townhouses for extension. Pets were rescued during overhaul.
Functioning smoke alarms are credited for saving a life at this fire.
