8/7/21 - Leslie rollover crash, US-127 mile marker 59

At approximately 6:50 PM on Saturday, August 7, 2021, the Leslie Fire Department and Lansing-Mason Ambulance service were dispatched to a rollover crash on US-127 near mile marker 59. Originally it was reported a person was trapped in the car, but on arrival it was found the driver had self extricated. While EMS personnel attended to the patient, firefighters were utilized to extricate a dog that was still in a pet carrier which could not be removed from the vehicle. Firefighters checked the scene for hazards and assisted with cleaning debris off the highway. The driver was not seriously injured.
