8/29/21 - Mason barn fire, 485 N Every Rd

The Mason Fire Department was dispatched to a barn fire at 485 N Every Rd on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at about 12:45 PM. Automatic aid was also sent from the Dansville and Delhi Township fire departments. First arriving fire personnel reported a fully involved barn with a potential exposure to vehicles and a ranch style home. As apparatus arrived, a defensive attack was initiated with hand lines and master streams, to protect the exposures and start attacking the massive flames. Additional mutual aid was requested from NIESA Fire for tankers & manpower. The barn contained several vehicles and farm implements, along with flammable liquids and gas cylinders. When the main body of the fire was knocked down, firefighters started removing siding and performing overhaul.
