3/13/20 - Onondaga log pile fire, 2800 Gould Rd
At 5:20 PM on Friday, March 13, 2020, the Onondaga Fire Department was dispatched to a "wood pile" on fire at 2800 Gould Rd. The first arriving command arrived to a large stack of logs with wind driven flames blowing hard away from any exposures. Command upgraded the response from Onondaga, and requested mutual aid from the Leslie Fire Department for a tanker and manpower. As firefighters started their attack on the fire, the homeowner acquired a front end loader to help break up the pile to complete extinguishment. Just as Leslie firefighters began arriving, some of the Onondaga crews responded to another grass fire a short distance away.
