9/21/19 - Chelsea live burn training exercise - 2495 S. Fletcher

On Saturday, September 21, 2019, the Chelsea Area Fire Authority hosted a live burn training exercise in a farmhouse at 2495 S. Fletcher Rd. Several small fires were set and extinguished by participants. When the interior exercises were complete, the house and a small out building were set on fire and allowed to burn as firefighters protected nearby exposures. Ann Arbor Township, Dexter Area, Manchester Township, and Scio Township fire departments joined Chelsea in the training exercise. Huron Valley Ambulance provided an ambulance to stand by during the event on a hot & humid day, there were no injuries.
