3/24/18 - Eaton Rapids magnesium fire training

On Saturday morning, March 24, 2018, the Eaton Rapids Fire Department conducted a live fire training exercise to learn about controlling fire involving magnesium. Representatives from a local company that utilizes magnesium brought several barrels with magnesium scrap in them which were used for fire sets in order to observe how magnesium and water dont play well together and learn when and how to best control magnesium fires.
