7/3/17 - Jackson car vs. house, 171 W High St
Three people received non-serious injuries after the car they were riding in struck a house when the driver lost control at the corner of High & Jackson. Jackson Fire Department Ladder 1 and Jackson Community Ambulance responded to the crash just before 5:45 PM on Monday, July 3, 2017. All patients self extricated and no one was found inside the home at the time. When a wrecker arrived to remove the car, they were unable to get it free from the foundation. Fire command requested members of the Jackson Area USAR team to respond, as well as Summit Twp Heavy 17 and Jackson Engine 3 to assist at the scene. When the rescue members arrived, the house was stabilized and jacked up just enough so the wrecker could remove the car. USAR members then remained on the scene to stabilize the wall as Jackson & Summit firefighters were called to respond to a house fire.
