8/10/14 - Delhi Twp house fire, 3902 W. Howell Rd

The Delhi Township Fire Department was dispatched to a lawn mower on fire inside a garage at 3902 W. Howell Rd on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 3:46 PM. Command immediately requested mutual aid tankers & manpower from the Mason Fire Department. First responding units reported heavy black smoke from a distance, with a fully involved garage attached to a single story home on arrival. Additional mutual aid was requested from the Leslie Fire Department, Windsor Township Fire Department and the Onondaga Fire Department for more tankers and manpower. The fire had extended into the attic space of the house, making it difficult to access for extinguishment. One firefighter received non-life threatening injuries when struck by falling debris and was transported to a local hospital.
