10/30/08 - Flint house fire, next to 2309 Chevrolet

On Thursday, October 30, 2008 around 10:15 PM, firefighters from the Flint Fire Department are dispatched to a house fire next to 2309 Chevrolet. When personnel arrived they found a vacant two story wood frame home nearly 100% involved. Command made the decision not to take unnecessary risks for very little gain and the order was given to let the structure burn. Lines were put in place to protect exposure dwellings on both sides. Firefighters from Mount Morris Township, Genesee Township and Swartz Creek fire departments assisted Flint at this fire as a task force assignment.
