12/13/22 - Bath Twp house fire, 15062 Seniors Ct

The Bath Twp Fire Department was alerted to a house fire at about 11:50 PM on Tuesday night, December 13, 2022. Automatic aid was sent on the intial alarm as well. Immediately after dispatch, command received reports that flames and black smoke were visible from a distance, so a request was made to elevate the response to a 2nd alarm. Police were first to arrive, confirming a home that was still under construction was engulfed in heavy fire. Command ordered a defensive strategy for fire attack. Overhaul and hitting hot spots was difficult due to the extensive damage to the structure. In all, mutual aid responded from Dewitt Twp, Dewitt Area, LSW (Laingsburg), Ovid, and East Lansing.
