10/25/22 - Mason house fire, 6142 Plains Rd

Just before 1 AM on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, the Mason, Onondaga, and Leslie fire departments were dispatched to a house fire at 6142 Plains Rd. Onondaga had the first units to arrive, with command finding a 2 story dwelling that was 100% involved in fire. Dispatch information reported all occupants had escaped at the time of the call. Tanker 1263 was the first apparatus there, stretching a 2-1/2 line to begin knocking down the fire. Mason Truck 808 was next, they pulled into the drive to set up for an aerial attack, which was the primary method of extinguishment. An additional tanker was requested to respond from Eaton Rapids Township. Hand lines were stretched to put out fires along the perimeter and perform overhaul. There was nothing left of the house to save.
