10/14/22 - Eaton Rapids industrial fire, 2001 Industrial Dr

The Eaton Rapids, Eaton Rapids Twp, and Hamlin Twp fire departments were dispatched to Meridian Magnesium at 2001 Industrial Dr at about 12:15 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022. Smoke was visible on arrival at it was determined there was a fire in one of the machines. The fire extended into the ventilation duct work in the roof and required extensive efforts to completely and safely extinguish. Additional mutual aid was received at the scene from Windsor Twp, Benton Twp, and Charlotte.
