12/25/19 - Mason house fire, 4531 Thurlby Rd

A family's holiday was ruined after a fire struck their home on Christmas Day. The Mason, Delhi Township, and Eaton Rapids Township fire departments were dispatched to the report of a kitchen fire at 4531 Thurlby Rd at 5:42 PM. While still en route, command requested the Onondaga Fire Department also be dispatched. On arrival, there was light colored smoke coming from the home. Delhi Township Truck 21 was first to arrive, they pulled a preconnect and entered the home to find and attack the fire. Mason Engine 809 arrived shortly afterward and backed up the Delhi crew with a second line. Tankers from Mason supplied Delhi's truck while porta-tanks were set up for water supply. The fire was quickly contained to the area of origin and thorough investigation found no extension to the rest of the home. There were no injuries.
