6/18/18 - Springport commercial structure fire, 119 E. Main

Just after 4:45 PM on Monday, June 18, 2018, the Springport-Clarence Twp Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire at the Hotel Tavern at 119 E. Main St. The first arriving command reported light smoke showing on arrival. After investigation, command requested mutual aid from the Sheridan Twp and Rives-Tompkins Twp fire departments. Firefighters found and extinguished fire in the back wall of the structure. The smoke was venitlated from the building which was thoroughly checked for fire extension
