2/7/18 - Mason barn fire, 2330 Eden Rd

The Mason, Leslie and Dansville fire departments were dispatched to a barn fire at 2330 Eden Rd on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at about 10:45 PM. Lansing-Mason Ambulance arrived on scene right after the call was dispatched and reported a fully involved pole barn. The structure was a distance from the roadway with no exposure hazards. Mason Engine 809 was the first apparatus to arrive, dropping a 5 inch supply line at the road and proceeding down the driveway to the structure. Mason Rescue 806 stayed at the road, hooked up to the supply line and set up porta tanks for water supply. Firefighters conducted an exterior attack, then performed extensive overhaul operations in 0 degree weather.
