12/8/18 - Mason corn dryer fire, 427 S. College

At about 1 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2018, the Mason, Delhi Township, and Eaton Rapids Township fire departments were dispatched to respond to a fire in a corn dryer at 427 S. College Rd. First arriving command reported smoke showing. Utilities to the dryer were shut off. Firefighters quickly sprayed the fire area from the outside before using the dryer's quick dump to remove the smoldering product. After the product was removed and water was applied, crews accessed the dryer to complete overhaul operations.
