Due to the fire's advancement, command withdrew all crews and changed to a defensive attack as the attic became fully involved. Crews had to work around the obstacle of an arcing electrical service until Consumers Energy arrived to shut down the line. Problems with low water pressure challenged firefighters until a another supply line was hand laid to a second hydrant. One firefighter was treated for exhaustion and another for a leg injury.
