1/30/17 - Delhi Twp chimney fire, 5775 Harper Rd

A MABAS box alarm was dispatched to a report of a chimney fire on Monday, January 30, 2017 at approximately 9:15 AM. The Delhi Township, Lansing, and Mason fire departments were sent to the home at 5775 Harper Rd. First arriving command reported smoke visible from the chimney. Delhi Township firefighters were first to arrive, laddering the roof and beginning to extinquish the fire using dry chemicals. Additional crews entered the home to secure the utilities and check for extension. Firefighters were on scene for a short time before being released.
