12/7/17 - Mason extrication, Okemos Rd & Howell Rd

At 1:41 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2017, the Mason Fire Department, Ingham Co Sheriff Rescue, and Lansing-Mason Ambulance were dispatched to a two vehicle crash that occured at the intersection of Okemos & Howell. On arrival it was discovered there were 4 total patients, some with serious injuries, so two additional ambulances were requested mutual aid from the Delhi Township Fire Department. Rescuers had to pry open the driver's door of one vehicle to remove an occupant. The regional traffic investigation unit was activated to conduct an investigation of the crash due to the injuries involved.
