10/24/17 - Delhi Twp structure fire, 2233 N. Cedar St

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 8:17 PM, the Delhi Township and Lansing fire departments were dispatched to a possible commercial structure fire at the Quality Dairy at the intersection of Cedar & Aurelius. Command was on the scene within a minute reporting a light haze of smoke in and around the building. Firefighters confirmed that all occupants had safely evacuated, then entered for investigation and fire control. Interior crews found fire inside the utility room and determined there was extension into the attic space above. Command requested an engine & manpower from Mason to assist. Aurelius Rd had to be closed as water supply lines had to be stretched to a hydrant across the street from the business. Personnel were able to handle the fire quickly with minimal extension and cleared the building of smoke.
