7/10/16 - Leslie rollover crash, US-127 south of Plains Rd

Shortly after 4 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2016, the Leslie Fire Department was dispatched to a rollover crash on US-127 near Plains Rd in Leslie Township. A van towing a pop up camper trailer lost control and rolled over in the ditch side of the road. Fortunately, none of the family of 7 that were riding in the van received injuries requiring treatment. But the van and trailer were destroyed. As the Sheriff's Department transported one of the family to Lansing to get a rental vehicle, Leslie firefighters assisted the family with their belongings and providing them transportation to a safe place to wait. Firefighters assisted with securing the debris for removal as well.
