1/7/15 - Rives-Tompkins Twp garage fire, 9471 Brook Ln

Just after 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, the Rives-Tompkins Fire Department was dispatched to a reported garage fire at 9471 Brook Ln, a narrow dead-end private road. Additional information reported extension to a home with an elderly woman unable to get out of it. Responding units requested mutual aid from Onondaga, Leslie and Springport for tankers and manpower. On arrival, a detached two car garage was completely involved in heavy fire with radiant heat extension to a mobile home. Firefighters began suppressing the fire while an interior crew entered the mobile home to prevent further extension. The fire was quickly brought under control and mutual aid was released in a short time.
