10/31/15 - Flint house fire, 618 E. Foss St
25 minutes into Sunday, October 31, 2015, the Flint Fire Department responded to reports of a vacant house on fire at 618 E. Foss St. First arriving Engine 61 reported a fully involved dwelling with extension to houses on both sides. Crews set up lines for exposure protection while Truck 35 secured a water supply. Squad 1 & Squad 2 also responded, assisting with manpower. The homes on both sides were entered, checked for extension and ventilated. Due to it's complete involvement, a defensive attack was made on the primary structure, protecting the exposures while allowing it to burn. After the structure was mostly consumed, Engine 61 repositioned and used their deck gun to help firefighters with handlines extinguish the remaining fire.
