5/2/14 - Dansville garage fire, 1644 S. Dietz Rd

At just about 8 AM on Friday, May 2nd, 2014, the Dansville Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire at 1644 S. Dietz Rd. Mutual aid from the SAESA (Stockbridge) Fire Department was requested while units were still responding. On arrival, command reported a working structure fire and requested additional mutual aid from the NIESA/Leroy Twp Fire Department. Firefighters entered the structure and made an aggressive interior attack to get the fire knocked down in the attic space, preventing it from extending further toward an attached residence. Ingham Co Sheriff Rescue responded for air tank refills and SAESA EMS stood by during firefighter activities.
