4/2/14 - Rives-Tompkins Twp house fire, 7077 Grand River Rd

The Rives-Tompkins Township Fire Department responded to a house fire around 2:45 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Initially reported by passersby as fire coming through the roof, when firefighters arrived they were confronted with a two story home completely engulfed in fire. Command took a defensive strategy due to the heavy involvement of the structure and the discovery of holes burned through the floor. Mutual aid tankers and manpower were requested from the Henrietta, Leslie, Onondaga, Mason & Hamlin Township fire departments. No injuries were reported.
