4/2/14 - Hamlin Twp house explosion, 9741 Griffith Rd

At approximately 5:20 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, the Hamlin Township Fire Department was dispatched to a reported propane explosion inside a house at 9741 Griffith Rd. First arriving units had a one story wood frame home with heavy damage to the "B" side wall and no obvious signs of active fire. Fire personnel checked all levels of the home for possible fire, used positive pressure to ventilate the structure, provided for medical assessment of occupants that were inside the home at the time of the explosion and assisted residents with temporary relocation services as needed.
