3/4/14 - Hamlin Twp house fire, 9689 S. Clinton Tr

At approximately 9:45 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, the Hamlin Township and Eaton Rapids fire departments were dispatched to an attached garage fire at 9689 S. Clinton Trail. The first arriving unit reported a single story house with fire through the roof. Additional mutual aid was requested from the Eaton Rapids Township and Springport fire departments, the Onondaga Fire Department also responded with tankers. A defensive strategy was used to knock down the flames, then extensive overhaul was required to complete extinguishment. A resident at the home received serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to the U of M Medical Center.
