10/29/14 - Eaton Rapids attic fire, 1018 S. Main St

Just before 9 PM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, the Eaton Rapids Fire Department responded to a house fire at 1018 S. Main St. Automatic aid was dispatched from the Eaton Rapids Township and Hamlin Township Fire Departments. First arriving command reported smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a two story house. Firefighters had the difficult task of trying to locate and access the fire in the attic and walls of the home. One firefighter was transported for evaluation by Eaton Area EMS.
