6/9/12 - Delhi Twp haywagon fire, 2718 Lamb Rd

At 2:10 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2012, the Delhi Township Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a barn on fire at 2718 Lamb Rd in Alaiedon Township. Based on dispatch information, command immediately requested mutual aid from the Mason Fire Department for a tanker and manpower. Units responding reported smoke visible from a distance. On arrival, it was discovered that no structure was involved, but 4 haywagons were burning behind the barn and the fire was extending into an open field. Firefighters worked the perimeter of the fire first, then extinguished what was left of the haywagons before covering the area with foam to prevent the windy conditions from causing a rekindle.
