4/30/12 - Williamston silo fire, 790 E. Haslett Rd

Shortly before 7 AM on Monday, April 30, 2012, the NIESA Fire Department responded to a silo fire at 790 E. Haslett Rd. A small out building between two silos had caught fire and was destroyed on arrival, with some extension of the fire into the silos. Both NIESA's Williamston & Leroy Twp stations were dispatched to the fire and additional mutual aid was requested for tankers from Laingsburg & Dansville. Dansville was later cancelled while en route. A master stream and handline were used to extinguish the smoldering fire.
