4/17/12 - Mason house fire, 4896 Thurlby Rd

At 3:54 AM on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, the Mason Fire Department responded to a call for a house fire at 4896 Thurlby Rd. 1st arriving command reported a single story home about 50% involved, requesting mutual aid tankers and manpower from the Delhi Township, Onondaga, and Leslie fire departments. Initial attack lines were stretched into the home and then pulled out for an exterior attack shortly after. It appears the fire originated in the garage and extended thru the attic of the house. Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour.
