10/30/12 - Delhi Twp mobile home fire, 2700 Eaton Rapids Rd, Lot 259
At 3:22 PM on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, the Delhi Township Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire with a person trapped inside at 2700 Eaton Rapids Rd, Lot 259. While en route, command requested mutual aid from the Windsor Twp Fire Department for an engine and manpower, and the Lansing Fire Department for an engine and a medic unit. On arrival, firefighters discovered that neighbors had helped pull a woman out a small window and another patient got out on his own but was suffering from smoke inhalation. Flames were showing from the back windows of the mobile home. Lansing Engine 46 was the first apparatus to arrive, pulling their preconnects and entering the home to extinguish the fire, backed up by next arriving Delhi Engine 21. Delhi Township paramedics quickly loaded and transported the patient with serious burns while Lansing Fire treated and transported the patient with smoke inhalation. Water supply was provided by Delhi Twp Tanker 21, Rescue 21 and Windsor Twp Engine 1153. Command requested fire investigators from the Lansing Fire Department to assist with determining the cause of the blaze.
