10/10/12 - Eaton Rapids Twp garbage fire, 2029 S. Michigan

At around 8 AM on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, the driver of a garbage truck discovered that the contents of his truck was burning while traveling down the road. Having been through this routine before, he knew right where to go. Pulling into the parking lot of the Eaton Rapids Township Fire Station, he dumped the load in the parking lot. Firefighters were alerted to respond to the station to extinguish the blazing pile. Granger employees responded with a Bobcat loader and a dumpster to overhaul and remove the mess.
