7/20/14 - Leslie car vs house, 575 Kinneville Rd
The Leslie Fire Department responded to a car into a house at 575 Kinneville Rd early Sunday morning, July 20, 2014. Police on scene requested the fire department to respond just after 4 AM to check the stability of the home. There were no injuries to the residents inside the home and the driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot following the crash. Fire command requested the Metro Lansing Technical Rescue Team respond to assist with stabilizing the structure while the car was removed. Tech rescue team members from the Lansing, East Lansing, Delta Township and Meridian Township fire departments responded. The driver of the vehicle returned to the scene while shoring operations were being conducted, and police requested Lansing-Mason Ambulance for an assessment. Once the vehicle was removed, the scene was turned over to the police and fire personnel cleared.
