The Dansville Fire Department responded to a house fire on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, 2008. A two story farmhouse was well involved with fire and a large plume of black smoke was visible from miles away. Most of the structure had been consumed when firefighters arrived and live power lines had dropped in the back yard. This was strickly an exterior attack. Mutual aid was received from Leroy Twp, Mason, Stockbridge (SAESA), and Williamston fire departments for tankers and manpower.
