Approx 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, Lansing Fire Department Medic 46 and Engine 45 were dispatched to 127 Smith St for a injured person on the roof of a home. Information given was that a man had fallen from a second story roof to the porch roof. Truck 46 self dispatched to assist in case a technical rescue would be required. Firefighters arrived to find the injured man still on the roof. A stokes basket rescue was performed to remove the patient to the ambulance.
